Achieving Internet Marketing Success

When you are looking for a proven way to market your products and services, driving sales, and making lot of profits, then you should pick your laptop and hit on the worldwide web to achieve internet marketing success. Internet marketing is an effective way of promoting goods over the internet, through e-mail, or other form of wireless media. Internet marketing, also called, “online marketing,” is a combine usage of media in marketing products with the aid of search engine optimization, search engine marketing, banner advertisements, mobile marketing, or email marketing. No doubt, the Internet is the ideal place to do business, whether you are a retailer promoting a specific line of products or a service provider who is marketing his expertise on the Internet. Normally, with business, people will not buy what they do not know about and this is why they always use the internet instead because they have unlimited access to wide ranges of information online about any product or service.

Internet Marketing Success

To reach internet marketing success essentially involves using various devices and services to let your business reach a wider base of prospective customers. A good online marketing strategy will bring in a considerable number of clients, sustain their interest and then make them more than happy to buy more of your products. On the other hand, a not-too-good internet business strategy will be a complete waste of money and time. In the worst case scenario, you may even end up doing more injury than good to your business if your marketing strategy is poorly thought out and executed. Strangely enough, many internet marketers actually fail in their internet marketing strategies effort not because they lack the right knowledge or the technical know-how to make good use of internet marketing, but because of their failure to adhere to and use what we will call ‘marketing ingredients.’ We will discuss this shortly.

The truth is, all of SEO, HTML, landing pages, opt-in lists, will count for nothing if the would-be marketer or even those already doing marketing online to achieve internet marketing success do not know how to actually succeed with the tools at their disposal. This is what this article aims to correct and also enhance your technical knowledge and give you an idea of what to do with your knowledge and skills. It will give you basic ingredients of internet marketing and channel your efforts towards creating far-reaching success online. You will learn how to be successful within short time in online marketing. Now, let look at ingredients of online marketing success.

Internet Marketing Success and the Basic Ingredients

  • Sincerity and Honesty: The very first thing you should bear in mind is that there is hardly any truly successful internet marketer who is a scammer and a fraudster. The common belief that internet marketer who sideline truth or act as a ruthless vulture and snake-oil salesman is wise is just a mirage. It is an image that some people sadly adopted and is doing more harm to them than necessary. But, let us be clear here, achieving internet marketing success involves being successful for the long run – and you can hardly be successful in the long run if you begin your internet career as a fraudster. The gains from fraudulent sales or deceptive sales strategies are attractive and immediate, but you will not be able to build a strong marketing empire with foundations laid on deceptions and lies.  If you as an internet marketer build your name upon reliable business and customer satisfaction, you will reap more rewards in the long run than a faceless fellow who has to change names every now and then lest he/she face criminal charges.
  • Vision: If you want to be successful marketer, you need a vision to be able to achieve that. Do not get it wrong. We are not talking about some splendid, messianic vision or something like that. Rather, we mean a vision that will define the direction of all the internet marketing success efforts will go to. This vision will allow you to direct all your efforts into something more worthwhile and productive, and which will enable you to truly achieve success with internet marketing. However, before your vision becomes firmly established, you have to first assume the mindset of a successful marketer. This kind of mindset in turn will create different frames of thought. Vision is a good ingredient of online marketing success.
  • Test Out New Things: One of the trait of a successful online marketer is the readiness to try out new things. Most prospective internet marketers spend months and even years studying how to be effective in internet marketing. Though, this is a good thing, all this will count for nothing if you are not willing to put your skills and knowledge out in the open market where it will face test under pressure. The truth of the matter is that there is not complete recipe for success as an online marketer. You just have to work up your socks and dive into the whole mess, so to say. You have to learn faster too, and you should be able to determine what works and what does not work in your chosen line of work. Even if you make mistakes, do not use that as excuse for failures. If you learn from your mistakes and use that knowledge gained from the experience, you may be on your way to success.
  • Aim for Excellence: When you give your best to everything you do, that is excellence. Do not view excellence as optional unless you want to fail as an internet marketer. Internet marketing success requires you not to cut corners or try to do a sloppy job. See your best effort as not good enough so that you will have the necessary motivation to do more. To achieve excellence you must make sure that you do a good job as much as possible. This pursuit of excellence will always drive you to find better and better ways of doing things to satisfy your customers and will greatly enhance your productivity and efficiency. Best of all, your clients will be motivated by your excellent work and will be more likely to check out other things you have to offer them.
  • Understand What Customers’ Needs Are: This is very important aspect of internet marketing. You may think this is nothing big, but it is an aspect so many new Internet marketers overlook which is worth mentioning once again. All people have different needs. For example, if somebody comes along selling something that will satisfy your needs, then you would be more than happy to part with some of your hard-earned cash. This simple fact underlines the importance of spending money, time, and effort to reach out and understand the needs of your potential customers. So many a times, internet marketers have this frame of mind where they assume that exploiting their customers and getting money from them as fast as possible is the only way to make it. This thinking is very flawed and poor. No matter the kind of business you do, online marketing included, it can only survive if trust is built between you and your customers. This is panacea for success!
  • Seek More Knowledge: The last among internet marketing ingredients is the one that can expand and increase your wealth. You should have longing for new knowledge. This mean you must never stop thinking that you know very little and need to learn more to stay on top of your business. The world of online business is ever evolving and you must evolve with it. This will help you stay ahead of your competitors. For this single reason, you must always yearn for more knowledge.

Short Effective Email Writing Tactics

Short Effective Email Writing Tactics that are POWERFUL…

Effective email writing where less is more. And when it comes to your email marketing strategy, this can absolutely be true.

While some audiences love to receive a long, descriptive email, others may quickly become bored or overwhelmed by messages that contain a mountain of text.

For these subscribers, a short, snappy, attention-grabbing email is both more engaging and more effective. And as you deliver content your audience wants, it can also mean higher open and click-through rates for you in the long run.

If you’ve tried long-form emails and aren’t seeing results, it may be time to try short effective email writing (an email with not much written content) instead.

To help get you started, here are five tactics and examples for writing and designing short form emails your subscribers will love.

1. Convey meaning with images instead of copy.

Instead of using words to convey meaning, you can use images to create connection, feeling and meaning. This is also an easy way to shorten the length of your message.

In this message from Paypalthey use an image to show the benefits of their service:

Subject line: STOP! Don’t enter your info repeatedly

Effective Email Writing

Notice how the image demonstrates the one benefit of faster checkout times and the many more indicated. Make sure it connects with readers.

Challenge: In your next email, try using an image or two instead of additional copy to convey meaning, feeling and product/service benefits. The copy you do choose to include should still be concise, meaningful and relevant.

2. Use powerful words that create mental images.

One of the secrets to writing a great short-form email is to get your reader to mentally engage with your email immediately. Creating mental imagery is a great way to accomplish this. When your reader begins to picture in their mind what you’re writing about, they start to engage personally with your email in a powerful way. And this can get them to click on your call to action.

In this brief email, Airbnb includes words such as “Rib Boat,” “Good Vibes and Music” and “Coastal Beaches” to help the reader picture the kind of adventure they will have while using their service:

Subject line: Elisabeth, you have an exclusive invite from Airbnb

Effective Email Writing

They chose these words because they create imagery the moment you read them. How can you think of a sumo wrestler without picturing their iconic outfit? Or a chef without his uniform and bustling kitchen?

These powerful words also create the feeling that the reader will be meeting new and exciting city dwellers, which might be a stark contrast compared to their usual travel adventures. Instead of writing that you’ll “meet new and exciting people” when using the service, they use specific examples to encourage the reader to envision this experience.

Challenge: Experiment with words you wouldn’t normally use in your next email, and be specific about the benefits a reader would gain. Use words that create mental pictures, and don’t be afraid to try ones that are unusual.

3. Use humor in your content.

What are you more likely to fondly recall years later? A college lecture on American history or a comedy show with Kevin Hart?

Unless you’re a history teacher or fanatic, you’ll probably recall Kevin Hart’s best joke over the year George Washington was born (1732, in case you were wondering).

Humor connects with peopleIt sticks in their memory, lightens their mood and often creates a sense of admiration (especially for a witty joke). And best of all, humor can be a powerful way to convey meaning in fewer words and get people to engage with your emails.

In this email, Really Good Emails adds a witty, humorous tone that simply draws in readers:

Subject line: Announcing our new series—Exploring the magic behind emails

Effective Email Writing

I mean really, who doesn’t sit and wonder at the magic of “David Copperfield, bacon, and ligers” (bacon especially)?

Challenge: Use humor in your next short effective email writing content to connect with your subscribers quickly. Your first sentence can be humorous while your second and third can set the context and encourage people to act. By using humor, you can grab your reader’s attention quickly and create positive vibes that encourage them to click. Which means you’ll need less content later on trying to convince them to act.  Just make sure that your humor is relevant to your message and that it’ll make sense to your unique audience.

4. Show off your products.

If you’ve got a great product, let it speak for itself. Instead of writing long descriptions of your products and their benefits, try using images in your emails that’ll show off your product’s benefits with visuals instead of words.

In the below email, Etsy writes very little – just a subject line and brief sentence about how you can find the perfect gift with Etsy. But they include tons of images of their sellers’ products fitted into categories that will help readers find what they’re looking for:

Subject line: The perfect gift does exist

screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-10-47-53-am

Subject Line: Midnight Blue Druzy

Effective Email Writing

This email needs very little written content, because the images demonstrate the benefits of the products, instead of words.

Challenge: If you have pictures of your product, try sending an email to subscribers that includes those pictures. If you offer a service, try incorporating pictures that demonstrate it in action. For example, if you’re a personal fitness trainer, try including images of you demonstrating a workout routine or guiding clients during a workout. Using pictures can save you from writing a lot of extra content and catch your subscribers’ attention right away.

5. Evoke the senses with descriptive words.

We experience the world with our five senses. So when you incorporate the senses in your emailsyou can turn an email into something your reader can feel, smell, see, touch and hear while sitting at their computer hundreds or thousands of miles away. By engaging your subscriber in this way, you can encourage them to act with less written content.

Blue Apron does a great job of using descriptive language in their email below:

Subject line: The apple of our eye?

Effective Email Writing

By using powerful adjectives, this email transports the reader from wherever they are to a quaint, charming home. Their headline “Cold Nights, Warm Kitchens” allows readers to envision and feel the warmth of a cozy kitchen during winter.

The words “crisp apples to sweet butternut squash” helps you also imagine the taste of those foods, and the background visuals of this tasty produce evokes the sense of sight to bring it all together.

Challenge: Create an email that appeals to the senses by using adjectives and imagery in your content. You don’t needs lot of email content if your language can engage people right away, and using the senses is a great way to do this. To see if this encourages subscriber engagement, be sure review your click-through rate to see if it’s higher than usual.

Challenge Yourself! Use Short Effective Email Writing

Although the perfect email length depends on your business needs and audience, keep in mind that you don’t need to only create in effective email writing just a 200-word email to convince people to act.

With the right words and images, you can get people to engage with just a quick email.

  3. 7 steps to become your own boss now
  4. Article Issue #153
  5. Special offer. Buy now.

If you said #3 I don’t blame you.  It stands out from the others, doesn’t it?  And that’s exactly what you need to do with creating good email subject lines.

Stand out with your good email subject lines

See, most people get over 100 emails per day. Do you think anyone has time to read them all? Absolutely not.

They take a look at the subject line and if it doesn’t catch their eye… DELETE!

All that time you spent writing that email…Seems all for nothing. Good subject lines are vital to your email success so check out the tips.

So here’s the top 4 tips for writing good email subject lines

  1. Keep your subject lines short (50 – 60 characters)

People read emails on all sorts of Desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.  Just keep your subject lines short with some punch and straight to the point.

  1. Use a proven template for good email subject lines

We could go on about good subject line for hours. Instead, let’s use this quick tip.  The easiest and most effective subject lines you can write are “how to”.

  • “How to lose 30 pounds fast”
  • “How you bring in 100 visitors per day”
  • “Teach dog how to stop peeing in the house”
good email subject lines

Give the extra punch for good email subject lines

To get some extra punch and power use this formula: “how to [benefit] without [some pain]”.
For example: How you can get hundreds of likes on Facebook quickly without spending a dime.

  1. Avoid using words like “free” “special offer” and “sale”

Aggressive sales tactics don’t really take you very far with email. Your goal should be to nurture and build a relationship with your readers.

Ask yourself  when you’re at home, how do you react to telemarketers? If you’re like me, I say ‘no thanks’ and just hang up. Subject lines with sales tactics are the same.

Plus, you need to remember that email providers direct emails straight to spam if they detect “sales” words. So Work on writing good subject lines that spike curiosity and provide real added value.

  1. Make sure you always test your subject lines

Most email systems allow you to split test headlines and do a 50/50 split to see which subject line is producing better with more clicks. Then run the ‘winner’and work on creating another subject line to run that and keep improving.

That way your emails become better and better over time. And in the end, that means increased sales and a growing income for you.

Hope this has been useful for you with the 4 tips to write better and improved good email subject lines.

Social Media and Marketing – Best Times to Post

Social media and marketing play a valuable role in sales, branding and more. That’s why it’s vital for your company to keep up with new social media channels and constantly evolving practices. Knowing who your target audience is and what the best times to post are key components toward an effective social media strategy.

social media and marketing

Ensure Due Diligence on Social Media and Marketing

Start by conducting industry research and checking out your competition’s social channels. You may be overwhelmed by the number of posts out there and find yourself confused about when you should deploy your own content. That’s why, after analyzing 17.5 million social media posts by 17,737 brands, marketing analytics software provider TrackMaven has released its Best Times to Post on Social Media Cheat Sheet.

Best Times to Post

The best times to post vary by industry, channel and target audience. On five of the major social media and marketing networks– Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest– user interaction peaks at certain times. The report reveals that Thursday at 5 p.m. (all times Eastern) is an ideal time to send out a tweet, while Thursday at 8 p.m. provides the greatest chance of a customer clicking, liking, sharing or commenting on a Facebook post.

Fridays evenings are an ideal time to reach Instagrammers, and Pinterest’s peak hour is 1 a.m. on Friday. Unsurprisingly, Wednesday morning is an effective time for a LinkedIn post– you’re most likely to get in touch with business professionals before they start the work day.

The report also examines social media and marketing post times specific to 75 industries. From airlines/aviation to fashion to law, optimal post times differ according to when target customers and followers tend to check their social accounts. In the aviation/airline industry, the best time to post on Twitter is 1 p.m. on Friday– probably because people are preparing for trips or commuting. For the architecture industry, the best time to send a tweet is on Saturday morning when people have time away from work to think about home projects or renovations.

What Should You Post?

When and what to post on your brand’s social media channels is different for every business. Often, what you post on Facebook will not be suitable for Pinterest. Or even if it is, the best post times for each will likely differ. Being in tune with your audience and understanding which types of content work for which channels will help you devise a strong social media strategy.
